Hopewell Rocks is New Brunswick's most popular natural tourist attraction and one of Canada's great natural wonders. Located on the shores of the Bay of Fundy, home to the highest tidal range in the world, we strive to provide safe and inclusive opportunities to be in nature, inspire wellness, enjoyment and education for all.

Hundreds of thousands of guests including film crews, writers, photographers and scientists from all over the world come to walk the ocean floor, marvel at the sea stacks and enjoy this amazing tidal phenomenon.

What you will do
  • Reporting to the Gift Shop Supervisor, you will be part of an energetic team who thrives on teamwork, loyalty, professionalism, and dedication.
  • As a member of the Hopewell Rocks Gift Shop team, you will be responsible for:
  • Providing prompt, efficient, and professional customer service
  • Operating the Point-of-Sale System (POS)
  • Receiving and stocking merchandise in a timely manner ensuring invoices match purchase orders
  • Monitoring quality control by recording damages, missing products, following-up with suppliers and tracking relevant credits
  • Processing of entry adjustments (i.e., store-damages, theft, inter office transfers, etc.)
  • Assisting in training and integration of new employees
  • Keeping a clean work area
  • Performing other related duties as required


Work Environment
  • Working shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Working amongst a supportive team
  • Standing and sitting for extended periods


Who you are
  • You are approachable, helpful and enjoy making heartfelt person-to-person connections while striving to exceed our guests' expectations.
  • You must have experience working with a POS System and inventory control
  • You are efficient and meticulous
  • You must be a team player with an ability to lead
  • You must work with minimal supervision
  • You must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be self-motivated
  • You must have knowledge of working in a retail industry
  • You are comfortable with using the internet

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:


Need to have
  • Completion of grade 10
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
  • Written and spoken competence in English and spoken competence in French is required


Nice to have
  • Possession of a valid Emergency First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Experience in the tourism industry
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail


Wage

$21.87 per hour
